Woods Go Urban is a major new book about the urban forest of the future, in which fourteen landscape architects and urban planners share their knowledge and insights on the creation and management of landscape laboratories in Scandinavia. With the first living laboratory created on Alnarp Campus in the 1980s, Woods Go Urban provides and examination of three innovative landscape laboratories in Sweden. Outlining the structural elements of the forest, the book explains development of a hands-on design approach of integrating natural landscapes into urban environments with detailed contributions provided by those involved in these projects, accompanied by a wealth of photographs and illustrations.
