Shipping information

We ordinarily aim to process and send out orders within 48 hours, although the majority are managed within 24 hours.

All UK large letter and small parcel orders weighing under 2kg are posted Royal Mail Tracked & Signed and Tracked 48 respectively. Orders over 2kg are sent next day delivery via UPS or DHL, although orders placed after 2pm may take 48 hours.

If you live outside the UK you may not see a shipping rate listed for your country. If so, please contact us and, if we are able to ship to your country, we'll arrange the most reliable and cost-effective shipping to get the books or magazines to you.

Note: We have currently suspended shipping to EU countries because of Brexit complexities and new legislation that make the operation unviable. We are also pausing deliveries to North, Central and South America because of ongoing confusion about tariffs. Books and magazines, we know, should be exempt from duty we are finding that it is being charged on most deliveries to the US. In Central and South America courier handling and brokerage fees are sky-high and no longer affordable. We are working to accommodate this and hope to restore normal operations soon.

As we send most heavy items via UPS or DHL, please provide a telephone number when you order so that the courier contacts you when they need to and not us.

Finally, we are a specialist retail store and a mail order service. We are not an Amazon-sized corporation with a fleet of service teams and robots. We are a very small, hardworking group of people doing our best to help you. If you have a question or a problem, just email or telephone us and a real person will get back to you as soon as possible.
