CHAP is a British magazine ‘dedicated to the gentlemanly way of life.’
Founded in 1999, the magazine offers a humorous take on gentlemanly style and opinion, something that arguably sprung out of television shows in that period – The Fast Show, most notably. But Chap has made this phenomenon wholly its own and argues, slightly tongue-in cheek perhaps, that it ‘is now seen as both a stalwart of old-fashioned values, and paradoxically also the pioneer of new trends in fashion.’ The magazine covers everything from vintage festivals to new makers of tweed garments, giving a rounded view of ‘how to live well in the modern age.'
