The heyday of men's fashion and lifestyle magazines had well fizzled when PORT launched in 2011, so it has never had an easy ride.
Born out of the ashes of 90s 'lad mags' to defining the template for the 'men's magazine' in a post #metoo culture is no mean task, but PORT has risen to the challenge. The magazine has always concentrated on the serious and sophisticated end of the market, boosted along the way by the design genius of (co-founder) Matt Willey. It looked apart from its rivals when it appeared and with a number of tweaks along the way (most recently in 2018) and some imaginative leaps into new content areas PORT is now possibly one of the most impressively composed and styled magazines around in any category.
