OUR SCENE: An Archive of Bristol’s Queer Nightlife Rebirth is a book detailing a collaborative project between CONQUEER and Bristol Pride – a time capsule containing photography, event posters, hand-written letters and notes, stories and illustrations from the collectives and individuals who encouraged self-expression and creativity during covid.
It showcases significant images, memorable short stories and reflections from promoters and collectives that re-emerged post-lockdown in Bristol. The publication includes further unforgettable narratives and visual art, along with highlights from photographers of this era capturing the scene which needed to be documented. OUR SCENE will also feature the promoters and collectives who began curating events pre-locksdon, looking back on what queer nightlife originally was in Bristol. Over 30 promoters and event series' have their own personal stories to tell and imagery to display.
