NOMAS is a fashion magazine that visits a different, slightly offbeat destination every issue.
There are other magazines that do something similar, but what puts NOMAS apart is the degree of immersion in each culture. This magazine really walks the streets, eats the food, hears the sounds and visits the natives at home. NOMAS is very well executed in terms of photography and production, and at only £10 it's an excellent buy for anyone interested in fashion with a genuine photo-documentary edge.
About Issue 18, Provence (from the publisher):
'The land of art, wine, and gastronomy. Μelancholy and sunshine. Nomas 18 journeys back to France, to witness the allure of its Mediterranean parts. To discover Provence in the South. First stop, the house of Albert Camus in the village of Lourmarin. His daughter Catherine shows us around their home, the desk on which her father wrote. She describes the reality of growing up with him.
