Masala Noir is a Paris-based publishing house founded by Shinzo Noda that collects, curates and publishes vintage, mostly brand-based print design.
Noda moved to Paris from Japan in 2012 to pursue a degree in graphic design and has worked for a host of major brands in a range of printed mediums including type design. His driving passion, however, is archiving print design and Marsala Noir reflects the extraordinary store of images he has amassed. Subject areas include punk graphics, blank tapes, fruit labels, book covers, Soviet radio cards, beer coasters, rave logos, book covers and more, from around the world and across decades.
