Giancarlo Iliprandi (1925-2016) was distinguished and prolific Milanese designer who died in 2016 at the age of 91. Iliprandi was one of the leading figures in graphic design in Italy, a designer whose gaze was naturally photographic. Giancarlo Iliprandi: The graphic designer's eye for photography shows us the range of his eye and his imagination as a graphic designer, art director and photographer.
The book brings together a series of testimonies by Iliprandi that illuminate his design approach aimed at graphics for visual communication, an approach always in dialogue with photography, publishing and advertising. The volume is enriched by extensive documentation taken from Iliprandi's professional archive which clearly demonstrate still relevant workings of his page design, in which each project is an encounter, incessant experimentation and an unrepeatable vision.
