Elsewhere is a magazine published by The Outdoor Swimming Society (OSS) an organisation with more than 200,000 members, with activities, networks and information accessed by membership from at least 25 countries around the world.
The OSS campaigns (successfully) for access to open water, provides resources to the community, forms networks (local, national and international) and holds events that contribute to the art, science and culture of outdoor swimming.
About this issue from the OSS:
'Diving for trash off Cape Cod, swimming through Irish storms and fighting for the right to swim on Kinder Scout: this special print edition of The Outdoor Swimming Society’s online magazine, Elsewhere, is an editorial mixed bag as varied and characterful as the international Outdoor Swimming Society community behind it.
Featuring wild synchronised swimmers shot by Alex Voyer, a seasonal almanac for both hemispheres, and practical guides to foraging, night swimming and planning swim adventures, this 20th anniversary issue is as beautiful as the landscapes we swim through.
Every story in it had to fight hard for its place. Did it make you want to curl up and read it, start to finish? Did it celebrate the maverick spirit that began in 2006 and grew into a global community? And when you’d finished reading, did your world feel a little bigger, your thirst for adventure a little stronger?
