During the Cold War, the United States detonated over 1,000 nuclear weapons in the Nevada desert. Each test was given a name and – weirdly – a logo. Literal yet surreal, Distant Zenith collects these handmade artifacts that appear largely unconnected with the system that produced them.

The book is created by Paul Morgan and published under his imprint Current Editions (with Jessalyn Aaland) which celebrates vernacular histories and niche artifacts.

International orders are welcome. Please email us before you order to help us arrange more cost-efficient shipping. We have suspended deliveries to Europe as these were previously supplied under Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) where VAT was charged at point of delivery by the courier or local postal service. This is proving increasingly difficult and we will shortly be moving to a checkout payment solution to this problem. We do not refund orders where delivery has been refused.

Delivery

We provide free UK delivery on orders over £100. We aim to process and dispatch all orders within 48 hours. If this is likely to take longer, we'll let you know. We send orders via Royal Mail, UPS and DHL only. If this presents any difficulties in your region, do let us know.

Sustainable packaging

We use sustainable materials offering the most effective protection for your magazine. All orders are packaged in heavy grade recycled paper Jiffy Green mailers sealed with Kraft paper tape. If further protection is required we use recyclable polypropylene display bags or Jiffy Ocean Green Brown mailers. Large orders are sent in heavy duty double wall cardboard cartons. Our in-store carrier bags are made of paper and biodegradable, compostable standard EN13432 plastic. Where practical we recycle any clean packing material.
