Concourse: A Typeface by and for the Bronx is a zine developed in collaboration with Working Knowledge: Shared Imaginings, New Futures, an exhibition held at the Bronx Museum in New York City.
As part of the show the creators designed a new typeface inspired by the Bronx Museum, its Teen Council members and the architecture, culture and community of the Grand Concourse neighbourhood of the Bronx. Working with the local community and incorporated into the visual language of Working Knowledge, this work explores how type design can engage and reflect the story of a community and its people.
This zine was designed, riso–printed, and hand-bound at Space Type studio in Brooklyn, NYC.
