BonBon is the creation of London-based fashion photographer Ebony Louise Barrett.
It provides a stylised, almost kitsch array of Japanese influenced queer-friendly and body-positive content, primarily fashion, interviews and illustrative work in 'the fluid and flamboyant Harajuku aesthetic'.
The magazine's sixth issue is themed The Kawaii Gaze, ''described as a way of revisiting one's childhood from a place of kindness and joy—and includes a review of Somerset House’s Cute exhibition; an interview with Hysteric Fashion curator Daisy Davidson; a piece on the aesthetics of Black hyper femininity; and yes, those aforementioned farm animals in a hazy Suburbia-themed shoot.'
