Andy Warhol's New York is made of a map, postcards and a cut-out Warhol mask to transport you to the city that Warhol lived in for 40 years and where he transformed himself from an aspiring commercial illustrator to a one of the most successful fine artists of the twentieth century.
The 60-plus entries capture the places he lived, worked, partied, ate and drank. There's Paul Bochicchio, where he bought his trademark wigs, the Hugo Gallery, the first gallery to exhibit AW’s non-commercial artwork, and even the address of the carpenter who manufactured the boxes which would be printed with facsimile logos of Brillo, Kellogg's and Heinz.
