The Passenger describes itself as ‘a love-letter to global travel.’ It’s a new series of innovative travel guides that collect the best new writing, photography and reportage from countries and cities around the world.
That said, ‘guide’ does not accurately describe what The Passenger sets out to do. It provides insights rather than guidance. It aims to break down barriers and introduce the essence of a place rather than to map every corner.
Each volume contains essays and investigative journalism, original photography and illustrations, charts, and unusual facts and observations in order to open a new window on how we view other cultures and how history has shaped these places into what they are today.
