Caleidoscopica is a ten-year survey of and homage to the work of Italian artist and illustrator Olimpia Zagnoli.
The book collects Zagnoli's drawings, prints, neons, textiles and sculptures, as well as sketches and preparatory works that illuminate her creative process. Also included amid the colourful wave, you'll find a series of texts and thoughts from authors working in the fields of illustration, design and art, offering multiple and original readings of Olimpia’s work.
Her work is characterised by soft, almost Milton Glaser-ish shapes and a bold and (of course) kaleidoscopic colour palette. One of the most sought-after designers of the decade, her client list includes The New York Times, The New Yorker, La Repubblica, Taschen, TIME, Google, Marie Claire, New York Magazine, Rolling Stone, Monocle, Vanity Fair, Clinique, Air France, Yale University and The Guardian.
