A Typographer’s Mother Goose is a new volume from Italian publisher Corraini Edizioni in which traditional nursery rhymes such as Humpty Dumpty and The Three Blind Mice dialogue and intertwine with elegant typefaces created by renowned US graphic designer Louise Fili.
The book is a game of cross-references and reiterations in which the author, an international benchmark in graphic and type design, elegantly combines rhymes and lettering, resulting in new compositions that are sure to fascinate adults and children alike. From page to page we see the letters come alive, changing colour, shape and size. We follow them as they move, fall, run, bend and slide away, in the manner of lively animated characters.
