Returns
You have 30 days to return a magazine. After this we are unable offer a refund or exchange.
We will generally accept returns for incorrect issues and damaged items. To be eligible for a return where damage is not the issue, your book or magazine must be clearly unread and in the original packaging, if possible.
Where damaged magazines are concerned, bear in mind that packaging standards in the industry are low. Magazines may often receive some form of impact or marking in transit to us. We always reserve the best specimens for internet sales. Where all final copies are in some way compromised we will advise you before sending. If you insist on pristine copies, please request in advance and we will do our best to provide these.
To complete your return we will require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Gift cards and sale items are non-returnable.
Should you wish to keep an item, partial refunds may be granted (if applicable).
It is also possible to exchange an incorrect or damaged item – please contact us at hello@magalleria.co.uk.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received the returned item. We will also notify approval or rejection of your refund. Following approval your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
Haibara opened its doors in the Nihonbashi district of Edo (now Tokyo) in 1806. From its heyday as a purveyor of fine washi paper in the nineteenth century through the turbulent years of Japan’s modernization and beyond, it has continued to add grace to everyday life through originally designed paper products tailored to the needs and tastes of each age. Among the artists who contributed designs for its merchandise are Takehisa Yumeji, Shibata Zeshin, Kawase Hasui and Kawanabe Kyosai.
The book showcases some 200 products and items, including nearly fifty superlative examples of colourful woodblock-printed chiyogami paper.
