Printmaking Today is the authorised Journal of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and brings together artists, curators and collectors in an ever-changing medium.
The magazine was first published in 1990 by Rosemary Simmons who saw the need for a forum for printmakers, something that could provide an exchange of practical information and to make a bridge between practitioners and collectors or curators. I wanted printmaking to be understood and appreciated for its unique qualities and to be taken seriously as an international art form.
Printmaking Today is a very popular magazine for us, not only because there are so few magazines like this around but because it does its job so very well. Content is provided by experts in the field not only practising printmakers but art historians, teachers, technologists and suppliers of materials and equipment, plus news and reviews on exhibitions.
