Jeux de Mains is a small, charming book that collects images of the human hand, a motif that can represent many ideas, but probably resonates the most as the symbol of universal creation.
The book is put together by the Cécile Poimboeuf-Koizumi (Director behind the intriguing Marseille-based art book publisher CHOSE COMMUNE) and Stephen Ellcock, known to legions for the intriguing images he shares daily on Facebook and Instagram.
You'll find more than 100 images by famous, not-so-famous and anonymous artists packed into a ‘French-folded’ book where the pages seem uncut but are in fact designed to be part opened to reveal more information or detail.
While it’s a very small volume and not exactly cheap, Jeux de Mains is unarguably beguiling.
