Copy, Tweak, Paste is subtitled 'An essay on the modes of re-enactments, appropriation or reinterpretations of artists' books.'
It's a fascinating essay by designer/author Rob van Leijsen on the phenomenon of artists' books, which enabled and empowers artists to bypass the contracted of gallery or institutionally-linked publishing. This led to extremely rare 'first edition' or 'original' books of great value due their scarcity. Now we have 'facsimile' editions and the focus here is on the latter 'to expose methods and discourses' in the production of these.
