Backstage Talks is an interview-based magazine aiming to show how design can improve business through more informed practice and effective decision-making.
It contains interviews and essays by leading creatives and designers, based on the notion that when such practitioners talk shop with each other life about as a designer rather design itself – behind the scenes at conferences, seminars and similar gatherings – the exchanges are often of much better quality. Hence, Backstage Talks aims to bring these casual but in depth dialogues on design and business discussion to a wider audience.
For issue 7 "Empathy for Sale', the publisher asks, 'How much empathy should we sell to our clients and how much do we need to keep for our teams, and ourselves? We talked about the importance of empathy in creative work with Anna Kulachek, Brian Collins, Hedda Lilleng, Mark Pollard, David Numwami, Heidi L Maibom, Tereza Ruller and more!'
