Fantastic Man is a biannual men's fashion magazine from Amsterdam that has over the decade become one of the most recognisable and highly regarded men's magazines.
Like its sister publication The Gentlewoman (which appeared four years later in 2009) it's an interview-led magazine concerned with quality journalism and a focus on personalities and intellectuals at the achieving end of the spectrum rather than providing celebrity puff. The magazine was redesigned from issue 31 onwards and is now published in a square, LP-sized format.
The imposing 32nd issue devotes its 256 pages to exploring and discussing the subject of men's hair – the personal, political and stylistic aspects of what grows on top, and has been our bestselling Fantastic Man to date. Putting Riz Ahmed on the cover can't have hurt and there's an interview with this hugely popular actor, musician and activist inside. You'll also find designers Martin Margiela and Raf Simons, hair specialist Jawara, pop singer Rex Orange County, artist Alvaro Barrington, streetwear pioneer Gee Schmidt and much more.
